Hammer Black Widow Pearl Drilling Layout and Youtube Video, This is a review to show the hammer black widow pearl's bowling ball motion. The drilling layout is with the pin above the bridge and the mass bias at 1.5 inches off the middle of the thumb hole. I put a balance hole 4 inches over and 1/2 inch up. I used a 7/8's drill bit and drilled it back to 1/2 oz. positive side weight. This bowling ball and ball drilling layout seems to work the best on a medium oil pattern that has drier back ends. It plays the best just inside the track area at about the 14th board at the arrows. The line should be toward the 11th board at the breakpoint at about 42 ft. I did adjust the surface of the ball with 1000 abralon, and I redo it every 15 to 20 games.
(Note: This was bowled on a house pattern, the bowling lane surface was wood.)
