Bowling Tips
One Shot At A Time

The Mental Game of Bowling

This is a bowling tip that I know a lot of your top bowlers and professionals use.
The problem is it is hard to do in a way. This is more of a mental frame technique that can be used to turn around a slump, turn bad nights into good ones or even a great one.

Now years ago I use to call this "Grinding it out" or "I am going into a grind". Well now days it is called just one shot at a time or one frame at a time. Well if I am going to go into this grind out mode, then I will just focus on rolling one good shot at a time and not think about my ending score.

Example would be I could have a 235 if I strike or double or what ever, well then I will put a lot of presser on myself to do this, because I am thinking of my score rather that the shot. The hard part is to not think about your ending score and only think of one shot at a time.

If a bowler is bowling well he does not even know what frame he or she is in because they are so focused on there technique and rolling a good shot rather than there score. Well as a rule if you think of score rather than shot you have a better chance of messing up, think of shot rather than score and you will probably not only get your target score, but could even do better than what you had hoped for.

For a better bowling score try taking one shot or one frame at a time.

Remember tips are only tips, that's all they are. If it does not work for you, go back to what did.
